Dr. Charlene Collier MD, MPH, MHS, FACOG

Hi, I’m Dr. Charlene Collier- a daughter, sister, wife, friend and mother- the roles I am most proud of. I  I was born and raised in Englewood, New Jersey and wanted to be a doctor since I was four and an Ob/Gyn since high school. I went to college and medical school at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. There I met one of my best friends and medical school roommate- a Tougaloo College graduate and Mississippi native. That friendship led me to Mississippi where I met my husband and we now have 2 sons and a bulldog. I was trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital and obtained a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health focusing on Maternal and Child Health. I’ve spent years studying and working to improve birth and women’s health outcomes and reducing disparities in infant and maternal mortality impacting the Black community.  I founded Haven to provide a safe and uplifting location for care where all people can be treated with loving-kindness, respect, dignity and compassion. I’m excited to welcome you to the Haven family!
